Rules of Contest:

  • Each person can submit only one photograph per contest.

  • Submit your photograph by attaching it in an email to: Go Green Photo Contest. Please give us your name, address, phone number, and a description of the photograph in the email. Please put "Go Green Photo Contest" in the subject line.

  • The SCI REMC Go Green Committee will narrow down the entries to the top 5 photos and display them on our website. Visitors to our website can cast their vote for their favorite.

  • The winning photo will be proudly displayed on our website and the winning photographer will receive a prize.

  • By submitting a photograph, you give us permission to display your photograph on our Go Green website along with your name.

Results from 2nd Photo Contest

Our 2nd Photo Contest ended on September 30. The theme was "How Does Your Garden Grow."

The winning photo was submitted by Martinsville native Emily Krulik, a student at West Middle School.

Results from our 1st Photo Contest

Our 1st Photo Contest ended on August 15th. The theme was - your best photo showing a creative way to re-use something that could have ended up in the trash

The winning photo was submitted by one of our employees, Tracy Postel, who works in our Finance and Accounting Department. Tracy captured this photo in Douglas, MI, outside an art gallery. The painted body of the fish consists of microwavable plastic trays (food trays) and appears to have been somewhat melted and painted.

Prior to the launch of our Go Green website, we ran a Photo Contest for our South Central Indiana REMC employees based on a theme - a picture of nature taken somewhere in the REMC service
territory
. After receiving several entries, our committee narrowed the pictures down to the top 9 and then, let all of our employees vote on their favorite picture. The winning photo, shown below, was submitted by Bob Brouse, a journeyman lineman.
